Navy adds more to IT maintenance contract

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston, S.C., has awarded a $46.7 million follow-on IT maintenance and services contract to Centurum Inc. of Arlington, Va.

Centurum's renewed contract, for one base year with five one-year options, is with Shipboard Cryptologic Technical Support Services to support SPAWAR Systems Center's Warfare Exploitation Systems Engineering Division. Some of the work includes testing and assessment, operational and maintenance training, and equipment repair.

Under the contract, Centurum will also help the division field new systems and conduct systems analysis, onsite installation and upgrades while offering user training and technical support, according to a company release.

The SPAWAR Systems Center is responsible for engineering and technical services supporting the Navy worldwide.
