Geospatial agency shutters its transformation office

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has closed its Office of Strategic Transformation.

OST was established as a transitional office two years ago to 'increase the agency's traction on transformation,' according to a NGA release.

'The disestablishment does not signify a change in the agency's direction, but rather the functions will be preserved and realigned into existing NGA organizations to implement the strategic vision,' according to a NGA release.

Air Force Lt. Gen. James R. Clapper Jr., NGA director, said the OST workforce will move to other NGA offices where they will continue transforming the agency.
