SI International lands contract with NSA

The National Security Agency has awarded a prime contract to SI International Inc. of Reston, Va., for a range of IT services.

Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide expertise in the areas of program management, resource management, cost modeling, business analysis and software engineering.

Company spokesman Alan Hill said this is a 'multimillion-dollar' contract, but the agency would not allow the specific value to be released. The contract has a base term of six months, with four one-year options.

Hill said the company won the contract through its Bridge Technology subsidiary, which SI International bought in December 2004. 'Their capabilities in the intelligence community' were one reason SI International made the acquisition, he said. 'This one of those examples of going after a new opportunity and expanding our support for NSA.'

The company has already started working on the contract, he said.
