CSC wins Air Force contract

Space Coast Launch Services LLC, a Computer Sciences Corp.-led joint
venture with Shaw Group Inc., has won a contract to provide space
command operations, maintenance and support to the Air Force's 45th
Space Wing for unmanned space vehicle launches, CSC officials said.

They estimated the value of the award, which has a five-month base
period and 10 one-year options, at $335 million if all options are
exercised. Shaw Group is based in Baton Rouge, La.

Under the contract, the joint venture will provide operations,
maintenance and engineering support to launch, spacecraft, and ordnance
facilities and to support systems.

About 400 managerial, administrative and technical personnel from the
joint venture will work at Cape Canaveral, Fla. Teaming with the joint
venture are ExecuSys Inc. of Melbourne, Fla., which will provide
information technology support services, and Yang Enterprises Inc. of
Oviedo, Fla., which will provide logistics and procurement services.

CSC is No. 4 on the Top 100 list of federal contractors compiled by
GCN's sister publication, Washington Technology.
