Navy awards task order for ONE-NET IT support

The Navy has awarded Computer Sciences Corp. a $75 million task order for IT support services for its Outside the Continental United States Navy Enterprise Network in the Far East.
The program, known as ONE-NET, seeks to replace most of the Navy's disparate networks at major fleet bases and stations. The task order, which was awarded under the General Services Administration ANSWER contract, has a three-month base period with four one-year options.
CSC's Federal Sector Navy and Marine Corps Systems Center, along with subcontractors, will provide technical and enterprise management, as well as infrastructure and information assurance services, and support the transition of legacy systems to the enterprise for thousands of end users in areas such as Japan, Korea, Guam, Singapore and Diego Garcia.
The contract will support the U.S. Commander, Naval Forces in Japan; Naval Network Warfare Command; Information Technology Service Center, Far East; and the Information Technology Operations Center.
Teaming wth CSC are C4 Solutions LLC of Blythe, Ga., and Alpha Solutions Inc. of Mansfield, Md.
