DOD calls on Wyle to run Reliability Information Analysis Center

The Defense Department has awarded a potential $28 million contract to Wyle Laboratories Inc. of El Segundo, Calif., to operate the Reliability Information Analysis Center.

Under the contract, which will run for a base period of 36 months with a 24-month option, Wyle will provide a variety of services that promote reliability and interoperability of military platforms.

The Reliability Information Analysis Center collects, publishes and disseminates information related to how military systems, subsystems and components are maintained. The Office of the Secretary of Defense sponsors the center.

Wyle will work with Quanterion of Utica, N.Y., Penn State University's Applied Research Laboratory, the University of Maryland and the State University of New York Information System Information Technology campus.

Work under the contract will be performed in Rome, N.Y., and Huntsville, Ala.
