Army field support deal awarded to ManTech

The Army Field Support Command has awarded a $27.7 million contract to ManTech International Corp. to provide technical services for Afghanistan's property accountability program, the company announced today.

Under the contract, ManTech's property record-keeping services will include maintaining automated records inventories; providing accountability for property requests, returns and adjustments; evaluating property usage; and validating existing and new property worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The contract has one base year and four one-year options.

The Army Field Support Command in Rock Island, Ill., provides Army Materiel Command logistics for contingency and sustainment support worldwide.
