DOD Defense Research support deal goes to SRA

The Defense Department's Office of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering has awarded SRA International Inc. a contract to provide systems engineering and technical assistance services, company officials announced today.

GovWorks awarded the contract under the Professional Engineering Services and Management, Organizational and Business Improvement Services schedules. The contract is worth $15.9 million over five years if all options are exercised.

Defense Research and Engineering is responsible for providing oversight of research and engineering to help solve current and future challenges for DOD.

Under the contract, Fairfax, Va.-based SRA will perform services that include program management; information management, including database development and administration; financial management; and liaison with governmental and nongovernmental agencies.

The SRA team includes AT&T Government Solutions; Axiom Resource Management; CEXEC Inc.; Modern Technology Solutions Inc.; Schafer Corp.; Strategic Applications Inc. and Trenchant Analytics LLC.
