Air Force base operations support deal goes to CSC

The Air Force Education Training Command has awarded a contract worth up to $307 million to Computer Sciences Corp. to provide base maintenance and operations support services, the company has announced. The one-year contract also has nine one-year options.

Under the contract, CSC will provide a wide scope of base maintenance and operations support for the 81st Training Wing at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.

Services will include facilities operation and maintenance; receiving, inventorying and distribution of supplies; fuels management; weather forecasting and reporting; and housing and personnel management.

The contract award will become final after a 30-day public review period and the administrative appeals process are completed, in accordance with an Office of Management and Budget mandate.
