IRS taps Gonzalez to be deputy CIO

The IRS recently selected Arthur Gonzalez to be deputy CIO, after serving as deputy associate CIO for the tax agency's Information Technology Services for the past year.

Gonzalez began his new position Aug. 8 under IRS CIO Todd Grams. He has 25 years of IT leadership experience in financial services, retail, transportation and health care.

Prior to coming to the IRS, Gonzalez was CIO and senior vice president with Oxford Health Plans in Trumbull, Conn., where he oversaw IT services for the company's business units and business partners across four states.

Gonzalez was also divisional vice president with K-mart Corp. in Troy, Mich., where he was responsible for application development and support services for financial and administrative systems.
