Army awards network support contract to NCI

The Army's Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command has awarded a $28.9 million contract to NCI Information Systems Inc. to provide network management and engineering functions.

The five-year contract, announced today, is a recompete of a previously awarded contract that TACOM's Directorate of Information Management awarded to NCI. So far, $5.6 million was allocated for the first period of performance, according to a company release.

The work will be performed at the U.S. Army Garrison in Warren, Mich. NCI of Reston, Va., will provide management and network engineering technical support for local and wide area military, civilian and contractor networks. The work includes hardware technology insertion, testing and integration, system certification and accreditation.
