MTC Technologies lands Air Force logistics work

The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center has awarded a one-year, $5.3 million contract to MTC Technologies Inc. to help develop common processes for logistics programs, officials from the company said yesterday.

Under the contract, MTC's subsidiary, Manufacturing Technology Inc., will develop common processes and shared solutions for programs not only within the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center but also across other Air Force centers.

Specifically, the company will use its software designed to manage obsolescent components to address common issues in the nearly 10 individually managed programs at the air logistics center.

The contract will support the integration and operation of diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages programs at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. This contract award expands the company's presence at the base.
