CIA leak special counsel unveils Web site

The office of U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, the special counsel appointed to investigate the leak of a CIA covert agent's identity to members of the press, has created a Web site.

The new site, Office of Special Counsel, provides links to official documents released to date regarding the case, including the Dec. 30, 2003 memo naming Fitzgerald to the position and the legal documents arguing the government's case in compelling two journalists to testify.

The term of the grand jury to which Fitzgerald has been presenting evidence is set to expire at the end of October. By that time, the special counsel will have to decide whether to issue indictments or to let the grand jury term lapse without action.
