Navy awards contract for financial systems work

The Naval Surface Warfare Center hired Dynamics Research Corp. under a $4.4 million contract to provide functional and technical support for the software suite and systems that comprise the Naval Sea Systems Command corporate financial systems.

Company officials said the contract has one base year and two option years.

Under the contract, DRC of Andover, Mass., will validate data content that the Navy migrated from the Real-time Integrated Management legacy financial system to the new Naval Sea Systems Command corporate suite of systems.

DRC also will provide administrative, accounting, help desk, test and validation, systems scheduling and interface support to these systems. Work on the project began this month.
