USAF Materiel Command, MTC in tech support pact

The Air Force Materiel Command has awarded a four-year task order potentially worth $49.6 million to MTC Technologies Inc. for technical and administrative support services.

The task order was awarded under the seven-year, $7.6 billion Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool contract, known as FAST, awarded in 2001 to six prime contractors. FAST provides technical and professional services, modifications and spares for Air Force-managed weapons systems.

Under the task order, MTC will provide more than 250 personnel with varied technical and administrative skills and experience for Air Force purchasing and supply chain management initiatives. These initiatives will integrate the purchasing and supply processes into a single end-to-end process that reduces operating costs and improves force readiness.

MTC will perform the work at Air Force Logistics Centers located at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and Hill Air Force Base, Utah, as well as at Air Force Materiel Command headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
