Members of the Digital Communities Initiative, a wireless industry group that includes Accela Inc., Cisco Systems, Intermec, Intel Corp. and Panasonic, last month launched its first product, the Land Management Starter Kit. The kit is an all-in-one wireless network designed to support 20 to 50 municipal workers. It includes the software, wireless infrastructure and mobile systems mobile workers need to access government resources from the field.
