N.H. re-ups ACS for child support payment work

The state of New Hampshire has renewed its contract with Affiliated Computer Services Inc. for continued handling of child support payment services. The three-year, $3.9 million renewed contract has two option years.

Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will process support payments, handle employer electronic payments and offer full banking services through subcontractor Citizens Bank.

In so doing, the company will process support disbursements via paper check, direct deposit or debit card. The company also will print coupons and perform outreach to encourage the use of electronic payments for child support.

The Division of Child Support Services, which is part of the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, awarded the contract.

ACS processes more than 600,000 transactions totaling $80 million annually in child support for New Hampshire. The company handles child support payment services for 14 states.
