Navy awards Sea Enterprise contracts

The Navy has awarded two contracts potentially worth more than $890 million for various IT support services under its Sea Enterprise program.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts will run for one base year plus four one-year option periods and were awarded April 27 by the Navy Space and Naval Warfare Command Systems Center in Charleston, S.C.

Under the program, the contractors will provide sea enterprise command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support services for installation, material acquisition, system modifications, tests, system training and documentation preparation.

The contracts went to Milcom Systems Corp. and Amsec LLC, both of Virginia Beach, Va. Milcom was awarded a $108.7 million contract that could grow to $577 million if all options are exercised. Amsec walked away with $58.9 million for the first year, with a ceiling of $312 million.

Milcom's work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and Amsec will complete its work in San Diego.
