Mississippi re-ups ACS for Medicaid support

Mississippi's Division of Medicaid has signed a four-year, $100 million contract renewal with Affiliated Computer Services Inc. to support the program in several ways, including administering Web-based eligibility and drug rebate systems.

ACS of Dallas will perform fiscal agent operations and administer program services that cover system development, implementation and management for Medicaid management information systems, eligibility determination, and pharmacy benefits management systems.

The company has performed fiscal agent operations and program administration for the state since 2001.

In addition, ACS' Envision offers a Web portal for authorized users to access program data and perform processing functions. It also offers enhanced decision support system, fraud-detection systems, and interaction management with call-center and correspondence management.
