Tech brief | NASA gets down to Earth

Version 1.3.4 of the NASA-led World Wind open-source application has been released. Using satellite imagery from a variety of sources, World Wind allows users to swoop down from a global view of the Earth to particular areas of interest. The new version offers the ability to create 'movies' by scripting the application to rapidly scroll through camera positions. Download the software at worldwind.arc.nasa.gov.
