Tech brief | Motorola's dual-mode WiFi card

Motorola Inc. of Schaumberg, Ill., came out with what it says is the first "dual-band Wi-Fi card for municipalwide and ad hoc wireless connectivity." The new WDE1000 can operate in both the unlicensed 802.11b/g 2.4GHz frequency and the licensed 4.9GHz public safety frequency.
