GPO wants feedback as IG office modernizes

The Government Printing Office is gauging industry interest in helping the agency's inspector general improve its auditing abilities over the next several years.

In a recent notice, GPO said its IG office periodically uses industry help in performing its audits, but these needs will become more specialized as the agency modernizes itself to become more digitally based.

'Today, the GPO is at the epicenter of technological change as it embraces its historic mission while looking into the digital future,' the notice said.

Specifically, the IG will need help with auditing network vulnerabilities, Web server and application security, public-key infrastructure, physical and logical access, and IT acquisitions.

The notice is not a solicitation, and interested parties must respond with their qualifications and capabilities by July 18.
