GCN tech brief

IBM Corp. (www.ibm.com) last month said that two of its virtualization technologies had received Common Criteria certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership. IBM's System z9 mainframe logical partitioning technology received Evaluation Assurance Level 5 certification, while its Power4-based virtualization earned EAL 4+. IBM Power processors are used in its System P and System I servers, as well as IBM's TotalStorage DS8000 systems.
