Feeling flush, IBM also set out to acquire enterprise content management software vendor FileNet Corp. (www.filenet.com), a company with a large presence in many state and local municipalities. Also on the content management front, ECM pioneer Open Text Corp. (www.opentext.com) of Waterloo, Ontario, plans to acquire Canadian cousin Hummingbird Ltd. (www.hummingbird.com).
