GSA adds SI to HSPD-12 vendor list

The General Services Administration has added SI International Inc. of Reston, Va., to its growing list of companies named as qualified systems service providers for Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).

Under HSPD-12, federal employees and contractors will be issued smart cards for identification and credentialing. The designation authorizes SI to provide card management and production, enrollment, and integration solutions.

Other companies that have announced their qualification by GSA for HSPD-12 service contracts in recent weeks include BearingPoint Inc. of McLean, Va.; Lockheed-Martin Corp. of Bethesda, Md.; WidePoint Corp. of Fairfax, Va. and XTec Inc. of Reston, Va.
