RSA middleware and HSPD-12

On the identity card front, RSA Security Inc. ( of Bedford, Mass., said its RSA Authentication Client middleware received NIST FIPS 201 validation. FIPS 201 is the standard products must meet to comply with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12. RSA Authentication Client serves as the interface between any HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification card and applications that use digital certificates, such as authentication, encryption and digital signature systems.
