Acquisition councils alter regs to account for IPv6

Federal acquisition councils have proposed changes to existing contracting regulations to ensure that the IT products agencies purchase are compliant with Internet Protocol version 6.

Comments on the rule changes are due Oct. 23.

Agencies must have their IT systems IPv6-compliant by June 30, 2008.
