Pointsec Mobile Technologies Inc. of Chicago (
www.pointsec.com) this month released Version 2.0 of its endpoint security software for Linux-based desktops and notebooks.
Pointsec for Linux 2.0 provides FIPS-certified encryption, plus new remote-help capabilities, single-sign-on support and enhanced security for system files, including preboot authentication. The software supports standard Linux kernels, so administrators don't have to rebuild the kernel to work with Pointsec for Linux.
