New Orleans re-ups ACS for Water Board IT support

New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board, under a contract renewal worth $4.5 million, will continue to receive its IT services from Affiliated Computer Services Inc.

ACS of Dallas will manage operations, applications maintenance, mainframe and network administration, and new application development for the board's IT department.

As part of its previous work, ACS set up a LAN/WAN environment, completed three major mainframe migrations, and developed and maintained a customer accounts management system.

The company also developed and maintained the board's Web site, established video streaming of board and committee meetings, produced electronic reports for different departments and deployed more than 1,000 PCs.
