Senate approves Peters as new DOT chief

Peters, nominated for the post in early September, replaces Norman Mineta, who left

Peters had served as the head of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration from 2001 through 2005 before leaving for the private sector. Before coming to Washington, she served as chief of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
