NIH awards TechTeam IT support contract

The National Institutes of Health awarded Sytel Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of TechTeam Government Solutions Inc. of Chantilly, Va., a $28 million contract for IT support services for the medical research agency's Office of Information Technology.

TechTeam will provide NIH with help desk, information security, Web application design and development, desktop support, IT server operations and maintenance, and technical documentation. TechTeam will apply the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, a framework for best practice recommendations for IT services management.

The agency of the Health and Human Services Department awarded the five-year contract under the Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations, or CIO-SP2i, vehicle.
