Fla. city taps Tyler for financial, payroll software

The City of North Miami, Fla., has awarded a contract to Tyler Technologies Inc. to deliver a software and services package that includes a full suite of the company's EDEN financial products.

EDEN provides general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, inventory, bid and quote management and contract management.

The city also plans to implement Tyler's payroll software, which covers applicant tracking, employee training, human resources and budgeting. In addition, the payroll package includes citizen service software that consists of parcel manager, permits and inspections, utility billing, licensing, special assessments and customer requests.

Both the financial and payroll software products contain Web extensions. The contract is valued at about $1 million.

North Miami is located in northeast Miami-Dade County and has a population of more than 60,000.
