William Goodson to lead fed sales at Autodesk

William Goodson has joined Autodesk as vice president of sales for Autodesk Government, a unit of the company that has served federal, state and local government agencies for more than 24 years.
Autodesk is a provider of building information modeling. BIM is an emerging technology that involves creating a structure as a 3-D virtual model and linking it with data.
Goodson will be responsible for boosting Autodesk's presence in the government market and managing the business in key federal sectors, including defense, homeland security, and civilian agencies. He will also be responsible for expanding Autodesk's partnerships that support the federal government.
Goodson brings over 20 years of experience in public sector sales and management.
Most recently, he was vice president of worldwide sales at Razorsight. Prior to that, he was the managing director of North America and Canadian public sector sales at Adobe, where he was responsible for building an enterprise sales organization. Goodson led a team that became one of the top producing units within the company.
He also served as vice president of federal sales at PeopleSoft.
