Navy awards systems engineering contract to new joint venture

The Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center New Orleans has awarded a five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to a joint venture as a small business set-aside.

The $330 million contract, to provide technical support for Navy-wide information systems such as the manpower and human resources systems that serve all Navy personnel, was awarded to eVenture Technologies LLC, a joint venture formed by CACI International Inc. of Arlington, Va., and ActioNet Inc., an 8(a) woman-owned company based in Fairfax, Va. The company is a prot'g' of CACI under the Small Business Administration's mentor-prot'g' program.

eVenture will provide systems engineering and technical support to SSC NOLA for the development, maintenance, integration and security of systems that include hundreds of legacy manpower and personnel networks, applications and databases. Such systems help the Navy determine force allocations for ship and shore locations and provide enlisted personnel with payroll, benefits, promotion and other work-life information.

"The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center New Orleans is one of the U.S. Navy's premier software development centers, and we are thrilled it has selected our CACI-ActioNet team, eVenture, to continue the center's important work,' said Paul Cofoni, president of CACI's U.S. operations. 'eVenture is exclusively dedicated to supporting this client and offers a powerful combination of technical excellence and customer familiarity to ensure that projects are completed effectively and on time."
