GCN tech brief

The Open Geospatial Consortium, an industry consortium of geographic-information system providers, has become a member of the World Wide Web Consortium, the standards body for the Web. The OGC will develop geospatial standards for use on the Web. The group plans to develop documentation of GeoRSS, a format for geocoding Real Simple Syndication-based feeds. The group will also work on activities related to the Semantic Web.
