JWSD awards L-3 $94M contract

The Joint Warfare Support Division has awarded L-3 Communications Corp. a five-year, $94.6 million contract to provide several services, including integration, production and maintenance.
L-3's Government Services Inc. of Chantilly, Va., will perform the work. L-3 GSI's primary business areas include program management, training and simulation, information technology services, systems engineering, integrated security solutions and intelligence community services.
JWSD is part of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston. Its primary mission is to support the joint services warfighters and their infrastructure. Among other things, the division is engaged in work on tactical satellite, telecommunications, information technology networking equipment and psychological operations equipment.
