Spyware goes mobile

Tomasz Trojanowski

Spyware that lets you track who's calling whom and when is now available for Windows Mobile smart phones.

Want to know whom your staff is calling? Want to track text messages sent and received? Just install Mobile Spy on the phone, and the program will automatically upload activity logs in real time to your Mobile Spy account without the phone user's knowledge.

The program records date and time of each call, the number connected to and the direction of the call. For text messages, the logs contain the number connected to, date, time and message text.

Although Mobile Spy can be used to enforce an organization's acceptable-use policy, Retina-X Studios ' which makes spyware for desktop computers, too ' notes that it can also be used to track one's own cell phone activity.

The product works with phones running Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 SE, 5.0 and 6.0.
