Signals of opportunity

Rosum has received a contract from Boeing to support Boeing's development of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Robust Surface Navigation Program. RSN seeks to exploit 'signals of opportunity' to deliver precise location information to the warfighter in environments such as urban canyons, inside buildings and in the presence of Global Positioning System jammers. Rosum will develop subsystems that apply its proprietary position location technology, which uses terrestrial broadcast signals and augmented broadcast signals.
