Vista per-diem gadget

Tech brief

Microsoft's federal division has released a per-diem widget for federal agency workers to show off the capabilities of the Windows Vista sidebar. If you're running Windows Vista, you can add this gadget to your desktop sidebar. It will show how much you're allowed to spend each day on lodging and food in whatever city you're planning to visit for work purposes. The gadget draws the rates from the General Services Administration's per-diem rates. To download it, go to GCN.com/805.
