Citrix launches new NetScaler line

Product spotlight:

Citrix Systems is shipping its new NetScaler MPX line of Web application delivery systems. The new NetScaler devices offer a massively parallel multicore system architecture designed to significantly increase data center capacity, delivering as much as 2.51 times more Web applications with the same infrastructure.

According to Citrix, the device also complies with strict new Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard regulations that go into effect in June. The company said MPX devices require considerably less power than previous-generation appliances. NetScaler also integrates with Citrix XenServer to automatically provision and allocate server resources to meet shifting Web application capacity requirements.

Citrix NetScaler MPX 15000 and MPX 17000 are available now, and retail pricing begins at $180,000 per pair.
