There's no cover-up here: Alienware has announced that it has added the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3600m graphics processing unit to its Area-51 m15x laptop PC. The powerful graphics processor makes it especially suitable for professionals who work with computer-aided design, digital content creation, visualization and scientific applications, Alienware representatives said.
The upgraded laptop delivers support for Open GL 2.1, Shader Model 4.0 and Direct X 10, company officials said. It uses architecture designed to enhance GPU performance through efficient allocation of geometry, shading and pixel processing power. The NVIDIA Quadro FX 3600m GPU also lets users work in photorealistic environments, they said.
