DataCore updates open storage platform

DataCore Software has announced an update to its flagship SANsymphony, an enterprise open storage networking platform. The company also said it has updated its Traveller continuous data protection add-on capability. The updates are available now.

SANsymphony provides SAN-wide services that virtualize storage, the company said. Traveller is continuous data protection, recovery and time-shifting software that enables systems based on SANsymphony to use or recover virtual machines by going back in time to restore systems.

The SANsymphony update incorporates support for the 8G Fibre Channel cards and hot-swap capabilities, the company said. User interface enhancements have made the configuration tools and the Asynchronous IP Mirroring tools easier to use, DataCore officials said.
