Objectivity/DB 10 adds C# .NET platform support

Cloud-ready data management tool reaches out to C# .NET and Java communities

Objectivity has announced the latest version of its flagship distributed database software, Objectivity/DB Release 10.

The new release offers C# .NET platform support for developers and works with other Objectivity/DB supported languages such as C++, Java, Python and Smalltalk, company representatives said.

A cloud-ready data management tool, Objectivity/DB can work with distributed networks or can be embedded in stand-alone devices. New features include C# Persistence Designer, a Visual Studio plug-in that lets developers create a federated Objectivity/DB database, as well as design a schema and data architectures using the same interface and controls they use to write code.

The new release provides performance gains of up to 30 percent on the Java platform plus support for integrated development environments including Eclipse, Objectivity said.
