Origin PC has always been known for fast systems, including its Genesis workstation, which is aimed at the federal government and which earned the GCN product of the month award for July. It was one of the most powerful workstations ever tested in the lab.
Now it seems Origin wants to conquer the laptop world, too, with the release of the EON17-SLX. The EON17-SLX takes power and speed up a notch with the addition of a second graphical processing unit. While that is somewhat common on high-end workstations, its incredibly rare for laptops.
Other features include professionally overclocked Intel IvyBridge mobile processors, SLI support with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M discrete graphic cards or dual AMD Radeon HD 7970M cards, THX TruStudio Pro for tweaking audio output and free, lifetime, 24/7 support for users within the United States.
“Whether you're a hardcore gamer or professional on the go, nothing beats having the power of an EON laptop with dual wielding graphics cards" said Kevin Wasielewski Origin PC CEO and co-founder. "Our new EON17-SLX combines the power of dual-GPUs and overclocked Intel IvyBridge processors to take laptop performance to a whole new level."
