A Toughbook that focuses on flexibility

Panasonic’s new Toughbook 20 laptop and tablet is a fully rugged, mobile, detachable device optimized for field use in transportation, defense, public safety and healthcare.

The Toughbook 20 is designed to withstand electromagnetic interference as well as drops, vibration, extreme temperatures, moisture, sand and dust. The device weighs 3.9 pounds and has an optional bridge battery and second battery in the keyboard dock for longer operational and portability capabilities, according to the company's announcement.

The computer runs the Windows 10 operating system, relies on sixth-generation Intel Core vPro processor technology.  It comes 8 GB of RAM and supports options for SmartCard and fingerprint readers. Additional upgrades from the Toughbook 19 include an advanced Wi-Fi processor, capacitive touch technology, an advanced video adapter, HDMI video outputs and a rear-facing camera for increased communications. 

The Toughbook 20 will offer six modes: traditional laptop mode, detachable tablet mode, presentation mode, convertible and display mode with an attached keyboard, carry mode with a built-in handle and vehicle mode for complete on-the-move functionality. The device will be available for purchase in February 2016 for a retail price of $3,099.

Recently, Panasonic has introduced its new creation - a fully rugged notebook Toughbook CF-20 with Windows 10, a removable screen which can be used as a tablet. Who needs can see the full specifications Toughbook CF-20 brochure http://www.tos.by/pdf_files/notebook_panasonic/cf-20.pdf Sales Toughbook CF-20 will begin in early 2016. The price is not yet announced, but knowing the prices for Toughbook CF-19 and ToughPad FZ-G1, we can assume that it will be approximately $3500. It would be interesting to see an review of this laptop-tablet.
