Agencies that ran their competitions on Challenge.gov now can download the information they are required to report by Nov. 18 with the click of a button.
The Annual Prize Reporting tool will make it easier for agencies to submit their annual report on the last fiscal year’s challenges to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, according to DigitalGov. The data includes challenge titles, links, important dates, prizes, submissions data and results, and it can be paired with more detailed information on each event.
Agency challenge managers can log on to Challenge.gov as an agency administrator, click on “Annual Prize Reporting” in the tool menu, select their agency, the year, and click “download.” The data will be exported data to a CSV file that can be saved locally. Users can also pull a full report of all department or agency challenges, or select specific subcomponents of agencies.
OSTP requires agencies to submit data on the use and benefits of prize competitions and challenges. The compiled information is then put into the Implementation of Federal Prize Authority Progress Report, which last year included 116 prizes by 41 agencies.
