New Jersey eases the business formation process

The New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services is making it easier for residents to form a business by enhancing the state's online and mobile-friendly Business Formation Services features.

The improved web application will now offer citizens real-time access to purchased documents for up to 30 days, the ability to search and validate a business name, find a registered agent by an identification number and automatically upload certificates and business purpose statements.

The service also will provide companies with immediate postings of copies of filed documents on the public record system and access to these copies for printing and sending purposes up to 30 days after filing, making it easier for companies and legal businesses to establish a recognized business presence in the state.

And according to the announcement, connecting the online tax and employer registration process will help to reduce the time needed for data entry. The new Business Formation Service website is a collaboration between the state of New Jersey and the New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA Inc.
