With agencies continually opening datasets and releasing APIs to app developers, Data.gov tracks its datasets according to a variety of criteria, from most accessed and highest rated, to oldest and newest. Here are the top 10 of the nearly 1,300 datasets currently listed under the “Most Relevant” category.
1. US GAAP RSS Feed of XBRL Financials
An hourly update from the Securities and Exchange Commission of the most recent interactive data documents submitted under the "Interactive Data to Improve Financial Reporting" rule, using U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Rules as the base taxonomy and the Extensible Business Reporting Language.
2. Food and Drug Administration Recalls
This feed describes all new items that are being recalled by the FDA.
3. Federal Logistics Information System Web Search
The Defense Logistics Agency's WebFLIS provides essential information about supply items through a Web interface connected to FLIS data.
4. Airline On-Time Performance and Causes of Flight Delays
This table, provided by the Transportation Department’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics, contains on-time arrival data for non-stop domestic flights by major air carriers, and provides such additional items as departure and arrival delays, origin and destination airports, flight numbers, scheduled and actual departure and arrival times, cancelled or diverted flights, taxi-out and taxi-in times, air time, and non-stop distance.

This is a Web service from the Federal Aviation Administration that allows users to query the current known delays in the National Airspace System as well as the current weather from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration by airport code.
