East-Tec Eraser 2008 permanently destroys all remnants of Web files left on your PC by Google Chrome, as well as Windows Vista's Previous Versions function.

Software from East Technologies can securely erase all the tracks left by Google's new Chrome Web browser.East-Tec Eraser 2008 permanently erases all of Google Chrome's history files, leaving no record of the Web sites visited, East Technologies officials said. Once erased, the files can't be recovered, according to the company.East-Tec Eraser 2008 also works on Windows Vista's Previous Versions function, which lets users create and store shadow copies of files. East-Tec Eraser 2008 lets users permanently erase these shadow copies, as well as the originals.Vista automatically creates shadow copies of user files, East Technologies officials said. "Without your knowledge or approval, your computer is storing copies of your computer activities, as well as information about your Internet surfing," the company said in a statement. Erasing this information doesn't ensure privacy because the shadow copies remain intact.East-Tec Eraser 2008 also lets users protect folders and files they don't want to be erased. It also can find and destroy information Windows had stored about users in temporary folders, such as information on Web sites visited, instant messaging conversations and chat room participation.The program meets or exceeds all Defense Department standards for permanently removing information from computers, according to the company.East-Tec Eraser 2008 works with all popular browsers, including Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla Firefox, America Online, MSN Explorer, and Opera. It also works with all of the peer-to-peer programs, including Kazaa, Kazaa Lite, iMesh, Napster, Morpheus, Direct Connect, Limewire, and Shareaza.East-Tech Eraser 2008 is available for $49.95..
