The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency wants a better way to match requests for imagery and data to suppliers of geospatial intelligence.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency wants to improve its geospatial intelligence broker initiative by adding an Integrated Collection Management System that would make it easier to match time-sensitive requests for imagery, data or services to the various GEOINT suppliers that can satisfy those requests.

In a May 25 request for information, NGA described ICMS as a decision tool that would use automation and advanced analytics to balance needs for performance with cost, capacity and the competition for limited resources.

NGA's GEOINT Broker initiative validates format, accuracy and timely delivery of GEOINT content and services to the intelligence community by matching requirements to capabilities.  But as the amount of GEOINT data rapidly expands, NGA hopes algorithms and automated GEOINT supply chain management can provide an efficient and effective alternative to traditional commodity markets.  

The ICMS pilot will include research and development into stable matching market algorithms and visualization and work-order management tools to make the GEOINT supply chain more efficient.
